U.B. Funkeys Installation Troubleshooting

Q. I pressed “Retry” and nothing happened:
A. Try pressing "Retry" again. If nothing happens after pressing "Retry" several times, press "Abort" and complete the instructions in the 'U.B. Funkeys Install Wizard'. Once the installation is completed, download the U.B. Hub Patch (see below) to your desktop and run that program.
Q. Before I installed the game, I followed the Windows ‘Found New Hardware Wizard and installed the incorrect Driver:
A. When the "Error" window appears and you press "Retry", the incorrect driver will be replaced with the correct version. If this does not work, press "Abort" and complete the instructions in the 'U.B. Funkeys Install Wizard'. Once the installation is completed, download the U.B. Hub Patch (see below) to your desktop and run that program.
Q. I have installed the game, and the “Make sure that the U.B. Funkey is connected” message is being displayed when I launch the program:
A. First, make sure that your U.B. Hub is connected. If the U.B. Hub is connected, and the message remains, close the U.B. Funkeys program. Download the U.B. Hub Patch (see below) to your desktop and run that program.

U.B. Hub Patch Troubleshooting:

Q. When I launched the U.B. Hub Patch Program, one of the following windows appeared:


A. This window will appear if either the game software has been uninstalled, re-named, or has been moved from the recommended installation folder (located on your C: drive). Please press [CLOSE] to exit the U.B. Hub Patch program, and reinstall the U.B. Funkeys game software from the install CD. If you still have problems with the U.B. Hub after installing the game software, re-launch this Patch program to fix any hardware issues.
Q. I launched the U.B. Hub Patch Program, the following ERROR window appeared:

A. This window appeared because the U.B. Hub Patch program is already running. Please close this window and follow the prompts on the already open U.B. Hub Patch program.
Q. When I try running the U.B. Hub Patch Program, the following ERROR window appeared:

A. This window will be displayed if there is another USB device connected to your PC that is interfering with the U.B. Hub Patch program. One-by-one, disconnect any other USB devices that are connected to your PC and try running the U.B. Patch program again in order to identify which device is causing the interference. After the installation of the Patch is complete, you may plug your device back into your computer.
Q. the U.B. Hub Patch program attempts to install the drivers, the following ERROR window appeared:

A. This window will appear when the installation process has failed. The installation may have failed due to the following:
- The U.B. Hub was disconnected during the U.B. Hub Patch installation, at a time when it shouldn't have been.
- The U.B. Hub itself is not functioning correctly
Press [OK] to close the U.B. Hub Patch program and then re-launch the Patch program again. If this problem persists, please call 1-800-803-9611 for additional assistance.
Q. While running the U.B. Hub Patch Program, the following window appeared:

A. This window will appear if you try exiting the U.B. Hub Patch program before it has completed installing the necessary drivers. If you choose to close the U.B. Hub Patch program before it is complete, you may still experience problems with the U.B. Funkeys game software. Either press [YES] to terminate the U.B. Hub Patch program, or press [NO] to let the U.B. Hub Patch program finish installing the necessary drivers.
Q. the U.B. Hub Patch program attempts to uninstall the drivers, the following ERROR window appeared:

A. This window indicates that the uninstallation process has failed. The uninstallation may have failed due to the following:
- The U.B. Hub was connected to your PC's USB port during the uninstallation process
- The U.B. Hub hardware is not functioning correctly
- Another USB device is interfering with the uninstallation process
Press [OK] to close the U.B. Hub Patch program, reboot your PC and then re-launch the Patch program again. If this problem occurs again, please call 1-800-803-9611 for additional assistance.
Q. While running the U.B. Hub Patch Program, the following window appeared:

A. This window will appear if you are using either the Windows 98 or Windows ME operating system. IN order to properly install the necessary drivers, your system will need to re-boot.
- First close all other programs
- Make sure that the U.B. Hub is not connected to your PC
- Press [OK] and your PC will automatically reboot
- The U.B. Hub Patch program will automatically resume once your PC has completed it's re-boot
